How Do I Add Text to My Video?

This guide shows how to add text to videos in PodUp, with simple steps for uploading, editing, and customizing text. Great for making your message clear and videos more engaging.


1. Navigate to https://app.podup.com/home

2. Click on "Audio & Video Editor" in "Favorites Modules" on your "Dashboard"

3. This is how "Editor" will look like.

4. Click "My Files"

5. Drag and Drop the video in the "Timeline"

6. Make sure the video is loaded on the "Layer".

7. Click "Text".

8. "Add Text" section will load up with types of text variations you can add to your video.

9. Scroll down to load more text styles

10. To add text you can either click on an "Text Option" and it will be added in the top most "Layer" or you can specifically drag and drop to a desired "Layer".

11. Make sure the text is loaded on the "Layer".

12. Adjust how long you want the text to stay on screen by dragging it out to the desired length

13. To "edit" the text, click on it and the "Text Options" section will open up.

14. Edit the "Text" to your liking

    • The word itself
    • The font
    • The size
    • The color
    • The style
    • The text background
    • The text outline

15. Drag the text to the desired location on the image

16. Now you have text added to your video
